“Success is a game of habits.”
Creating positive daily habits allows you to put a successful routine in place. Nicolas Cole, in his article in Inc., describes 8 key habits that successful people do:
1. Plan ahead.
Spend time each night and at the end of the week reflecting what you’ve accomplished and make a list of what you want to “get done”.
2. Do the hard stuff first.
Hard stuff is often a priority for a reason. Do that first and then enjoy the luxury of the easy stuff.
3. Say No.
It’s a judgement call that many struggle with. Be very conscious of how you spend your time.
4. Invest in yourself.
Both in terms of time and money. This ultimately creates wealth both financially and in terms of knowledge.
5. Surround yourself with other successful people.
Your network is your net worth. Surround yourself with people you want to become yourself.
6. Study your craft.
Successful people study their craft relentlessly because it is a part of who they are.
7. Be accountable for your actions.
Be self-aware and and willing to question the reality you are living.
8. Believe in yourself against all odds.
Understand, know and nurture yourself.
